This week we have promising 3 year old Dashing Major returning to racing on Friday at Addington. He has been out spelling since Cup week and trialled nicely at Rangiora last week for second behind La Rosa. He is in race 10 at Addington on Friday night and should be a good chance of winning.

With trials being moved to Ashburton we don’t have any horses heading to the trials this week, but we do have a number heading to the three race meetings that are on.

Non-Tote – We have promising two year old trotter Highgrove in the non-Tote mobile trot for 2 year olds. He has been to trials and workouts twice and won both times, most recently at Rangiora last week. Two year trotters can be tricky, but he seems a nice sensible type and should be a good chance.

Race 3 – Alluring Tyron – She showed promise early in the season before being sent for a spell. She trialled nicely last week for second behind stablemate Venus Tyron.

We have 4 runners at Addington on Friday night.

Race 3 – Desbois: This is a handy field of 3 year old trotters but with the handy draw and the right run he can definitely be in the Top 4.

Race 7 – Pres The Belle: She’s been racing well again lately and has a nice draw so expecting another good run from her

Race 9 – Yuri: Tough from the unruly in a big field last week but finished strongly. With the right run tonight he can be in the top 4.

Race 10 – Dashing Major: First up since Cup week, but trialled nicely at Rangiora last week and should be a definite place chance.

We’re taking 6 runners to Amberley on Monday
